Sorry it’s a been an absolute age since I wrote anything on the site. It’s been a little hectic of late. Ally and I are having a baby, we’re trying to sell the house and I’m working all the hours under the sun it seems.
Anyway, since I went to all the trouble of resetting my password (that’s how long it’s been), here’s a nice little YouTube + Last.fm mashup I found recently.
It’s always going to be difficult when you work for yourself as a freelancer to get traffic to your site and of course generate leads and enquiries for your services as a result.
If you’ve not already thought about doing so, you really should be looking at design galleries as a means of getting more visitors to your site and what to do with them once they’ve come to see what you’ve designed.
There’s a distinct trend at the moment which has thankfully seen a return to real clean cut, well laid out and above all, simple websites. I’ve always leant towards designing using as much whitespace and a limited colour palette to really display information to visitors without too much distraction.
