I currently live and work in Huddersfield for a range of direct clients and agencies throughout the UK.

Featured work
This site has been featured on several well respected design portals including Web designer wall, Design Meltdown, Selected webdesign, CSS Mania, W3C Sites – Editors pick, Most Inspired, Straightline, Best of the web and several others showcasing the best use of XHTML and CSS techniques and design.
More recently my work has been published in .net Magazine, the most popular web design magazine in the UK as part of their monthly feature “website build off”.
Previous experience
Prior to becoming a designer, my background is in corporate account management where I worked for O2 managing a range of high-spend corporate mobile accounts. This has proved time and again to be a hugely important part of what I am able to offer clients as I am happy managing a project from the initial briefing all the way through to a launch and beyond.
Personal
When I’m not working, I spend time with my wife Ally and in Feb 2009 will be a dad for the first time am now a dad to Felix who was born on 9th March 2009. I’m sure we’ll be ideal role models.
About this site
welcomebrand is powered entirely by Wordpress and makes use of heavily modified templates and custom page layouts to create the look and feel. The background photographs used on each page load on a random basis each time you visit a different page or reload the existing page, you can view the full collection of backgrounds in this Flickr set.
This site is optimised for a minimum screen resolution of 1024 * 768 and for visitors using a modern web browser, I no longer test my personal sites in Internet Explorer 6 as traffic stats for this site suggest it’s less than 2% of visitors who use this browser and the time it takes (not to mention the problem of css fixed positioning for the main menus) to ensure it looks identical in IE6 could be better spent. On commercial work, I do test in IE6 when a project requires it.
You can follow the posts on the site through the welcomebrand RSS feed and you can also track comments via RSS.
