Wordpress 2.5 released

Feels like I’ve only been using wordpress for a few weeks and already I’ve been hugely impressed by the power and flexibility of the system. So much so that I’ve already switched from having a hand-built front end to my site to show off work combined with a separate blog to swapping entirely to a wordpress powered site with the new pastel green theme you now see and using pages to display work.

I’ve just upgraded to the new 2.5 release of wordpress (it’s very easy – delete two directories, re-upload the new directories then follow instructions on a single page in your browser) and it’s all up to date and looking much neater in the admin end without any changes to custom themes on the front end.

I must say Happy Cog have done a great job on the new look admin section. Some sections have been moved around but certainly a lot of thought has gone into the organisation of the admin tasks.
